If you a queer FLINTA human this is *home*. The ambiance is the sex positive and queer hearted posters of decades past, friends coming in after work, a couple playing pool while having a beer, friends getting together to eat (one geoup had a pizza they brought from outisde). They had a couple of gluten free beers, ciders, well drinks, and zome little bites to eat. The bartender stole my heart with their causal friendly chats and how they cared for the people and the place. Its the coziest brown bar with a small section of outdoor seating, bar seating, and maybe a dozen table seats. I had a good time playing pool. Not ideal for those with mobility issues (like most palces in NL) as there's a half flight of stairs below to the pool table and a half flight up to the 2 toilets upstairs. Highly recommend!!

Saarein was amazing. We were looking fir queer bars to visit on our trip to Amsterdam and Saarein was such a good time. We arrived around 6 pm, started with a hot chocolate - they even had vegan whipped cream! Then we got a bottle house wine (very good and affordable), some cheese board snacks and played pool. There was a great crowd, mixed ages, lots of queer womxn on the night that we were there. Super chilled, fun, got pretty crowded around 9/10 pm. Super friendly staff, nice people and overall great vibe.

Easily the nicest lesbian bar I have ever been to, as well as a great pub itself. There were a range of people and demographics there both times we visited. Good selection of beers on draft, different seating options, cool posters and placards on the walls and friendly staff.

I went with my girlfriend and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and genuinely wholesome. 💛 We had the most delicious hummus – usually hummus comes with a strong cumin flavour, but this one didn’t, which made it absolutely perfect. 🧆✨ The drinks were also very good. It’s a great spot for meeting new people, enjoying a fun night out, playing pool for free and gathering your tribe. 🎱🍹 Such a warm, community-feeling place. We will definitely be going back. 🌟

Great atmosphere and the nicest bartender! I recommend the spicy mango beer — such a unique taste.
