as this sad issue still hasn't been resolved, it's time to post about this unsettling experience - one sunny Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago, i was enjoying conversation and a cocktail with some friends on the back deck, as i did over the course of 5 years spending hard earned money at this establishment! ALWAYS being respectful and NEVER causing any trouble here! i was approached by manager "JAMES" who was clearly, not in a good head space, as his pupils were extremely diluted, and somewhat a slur in his voice - this angry manager told me the leave the patio and i quote "or i will throw you out of here myself" ?? telling me the reason, he was giving me a lifetime ban, was something happened at another establishment?? (um what sir, this is blakes, not another establishment lol) Not only was he completely wrong about this accusation, it would still have nothing to do with the establishment Blakes! but what he was
doing was playing politics with a new angry DJ they hired there, that also harassed me in the establishment one day, over an obnoxious creepy friend, that was continuing to harass me online and in person - the politics extended to a rude door man called GUY, and three of them, creating made up instances, and fabricated stories, to bully me and remove me from the bar. After going to the front of the Bar to explain to "James" that you can't throw a long time customer out of the bar for an alleged story somewhere else, and he said okay "i did it because i just don't like you" (lol) and obviously in a very incoherent state, by the clear look of his diluted eyes and slurred speech - this is a sickening abuse of power, and bullying from a guy, that obviously doesn't take his job or the customer clientele seriously, or the safety of anybody making physical threats at me, and not able to make sound decisions and good judgment, with obvious impairment each time you see this guy in the establishment, and very much that afternoon - This guy understanding his wrongdoing, went to other establishments and tried to cover his terrible managerial actions, making up more fabricated instances, suggesting an incident on camera , the only thing on camera is a guy clearly not with it, removing from the bar for nothing! lol....it's sad that people like this, are running the most popular gay bar in the city, and bullying people out of jealousy and anger.

★★★★★This is a fun place to come to. I came on a Saturday night which was mostly pop music. The location was crowded. The drinks were well made and the atmosphere was vibrant. I also came on a Tuesday for Latin night which I enjoyed the most! They have great bartenders and the crowd was active and not just wall flowers! I recommend you check it out! I’m a visitor and always come here at least once during my stay in Atlanta!
Up Til Now – I’m Done
I’m extremely disappointed with how this place handles situations and treats people.
I was banned from this bar without ever even going inside on a Sunday night 03/01/2026 (docked). The only thing I did was tell my friends to hurry up and get in line so we could all go in together. Two days later, I’m told by management that I’m no longer allowed in because of “lying employees.” No one can clearly explain what I supposedly did or said. If one person in a group said something inappropriate, that’s on them — but banning someone without proof or explanation is unacceptable.
What makes this worse is that during a previous visit, another patron slammed a bottle against my head, and nothing was done about it. No consequences. No follow-up. When I asked management to pull the cameras this time to clarify whatever they think happened, suddenly that’s not possible — unless lawyers get involved? So cameras exist when it benefits you, but not when it could protect a customer?
If you can’t clearly explain what I did wrong, that alone justifies why I won’t be giving this place any more of my business. It also raises serious concerns about how situations are handled and how customers are treated.
An apology would go a long way, but at this point I’m not holding my breath. I won’t just brush this off with a simple Google review — I believe in standing up for myself when something isn’t right.
Do better.
You choose how you want to handle the situation while we get cameras pulled!
Shall we update...
Update: 28 March 2026; I’m genuinely flabbergasted by the level of unprofessionalism displayed by this establishment. When you decide to ban someone, it’s one thing to take action; but it’s another to turn it into a “Gossip Girl” episode where everyone else seems to know the story except the person being blamed and banned.
Spreading narratives without direct communication isn’t just immature; it borders on defamation of character. Accountability and transparency should never be optional.
ill leave with this conclusion
Defamation law codes, such as Georgia's Code § 51-5-1 in Title 51, define defamation as false, malicious, and published statements (libel) or spoken words (slander) that damage a person's reputation, inducing public ridicule, hatred, or contempt. Key elements include a false statement of fact, publication to a third party, and fault.
Easily one of the best spots in town. We were visiting from out of town on Jan 1st and it was still packed, with great energy and fun decor. We paid a small cover to enter. The patrons are super friendly and welcoming.
Place is alright, but I honestly don’t see the point of having a cover charge for this location if only the bar area downstairs is open. It’s a nice bar, but doesn’t have a dance floor or performing area. To be fair, the rooftop area was under construction when I visited, so there might be more to the bar than what I could see. But I probably wouldn’t go back if the cover fee only gives you access to a small bar.
