went here recently with my friend and boyfriend and had a great time! the food was amazing, service was fun, and atmosphere was overall great!
first, the service— we had this guy server who was super fun and helpful. he was joking around with us (we’re a fun crew haha) which made the experience better! he was great at also getting us extra pesto, which was very important.
speaking of the pesto, the food was delicious! i am obsessed with it. it’s so delicious. wow. i need the recipe. the other food was also great! i am someone who is not vegetarian/vegan in any way but that didn’t hinder my experience whatsoever! i loooved my scramwich… so yummy. and my friend, who got the drink, loves it too! all the food was great :-)
overall, this place is great! as a someone new to austin, i highly recommend this place to everyone who wants a yummy treat!

★★★★★We sat outside since it was pleasant weather and they had the fans going which helped keep the space cool!! I could tell this place was going to be gas from this alone. When we got to ordering, we were helped out by our lovely server who recommended us some drinks! I was a bit surprised when I tasted the raspberry-hibiscus iced tea. I thought it was going to be sweet but it wasn’t… still gas tho! (hydrating) We ordered our food and when it came out, it looked so SO good! The veggie royale may seem simple with the description, but the basil aioli and the amazing patty made it all come together! The McFib was also very very good! A bit on the sweet chili side, but fit super well with my tastes! The tempeh was awesome and well seasoned. The potato salad was a little questionable, butI think it just didn’t suit my tastes. Last but not least, the breakfast taco was AWESOME! What a steal! So much tofu comes in one taco, and it was seasoned so so well (i think it includes nutritional yeast)!
Vegetarian/vegan food and drinks. Relaxed, cozy vibe where anyone can be themselves. No fear over food special requests or ingredient questions. Staff was welcoming and kind. So many exciting options we would have loved to explore, but only stopped here on our way to the airport. Will definitely hit this spot on our next visit to Austin.
Indoor and outdoor seating, although outdoor seating did have a couple tables right up on the sidewalk and street. A few stinky trucks were waiting at the light. I liked the patio lights and fans and stickers decorating the outdoor seating. Indoors looked just as funky, but I didn't look around.
There is an added gratuity or wage surcharge to your check and they do inform you of this as well as print it on the menu. An additional tip is optional and entirely up to you.
Having food allergies, it's always exciting to eat somewhere without having a reaction. We loved the chipotle pesto, blueberry cornbread, and anything they made with potatoes!! I loved my London Fog, so hard to find these at coffee shops.
Parking, there was free street and free parking lot behind the cafe. Paid parking across the street.

★★★★★Bouldin Creek Cafe is a great Austin spot for a comforting, flavorful meal with a laid-back vibe.
I ordered the cornbread and it came out hot, tasted excellent with butter, and felt like the perfect start while everything else was coming together.
The jackfruit curry was the highlight—rich, well-seasoned, and genuinely satisfying, with a portion size that was just enough to leave you full without feeling weighed down.
As a vegan in Austin, I have tried quite a few spots, but always look to try out more places. Especially with all of the TikTok hype, this was on my radar and I finally had the chance to experience it for myself.
Side note: If you are an entrepreneur or creative looking to collaborate, be intentional about where you choose to have a meeting. This is one of those places where, even if the other person does not show up, you will still have an incredible experience on your own.
From the moment I came to the moment I left, my experience was everything I needed and more. I had already looked over the menu beforehand, so I knew exactly what I wanted which was the Tostada lunch plate and the Lady Bird salad. If I’m not mistaken, Gwyneviere was my server, and she was wonderful. She initially offered me a vegan cinnamon roll, which I declined while placing my order. I also noticed they had a mocktail list so I tried their Free N Easy IPA with ZERO alcohol, which I loved and ended up ordering two.🤭 The Tostada plate was very filling, so much that I had to box the salad to go. Before leaving, I did take Gwyneviere up on her original offer of the cinnamon roll and I am so glad I did. Everything I ordered was vegan and absolutely delicious. I ended up eating the salad the next day, and when I tell you it tasted like it came straight out of the kitchen, the ingredients were still fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It is absolutely deserving of all the hype it has received, and I will definitely be returning as I continue exploring more vegan options in Austin.
