Elysium

I came to Austin for a business trip. Really into the goth scene. Came Wednesday night and I was the only one there but the bartender whose name I unfortunately forgot (platinum blonde hair) and I talked for a bit and she told me to come back Friday. I showed back up Friday for their show and it was fun.

I visited Elysium on a Sunday night a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised by how lively, energetic, and fun the atmosphere was. We had such a great time that, unfortunately, I left my purse and jacket behind on my way out, not realizing until the morning after. To make matters more stressful, I was scheduled to fly home on Tuesday, but Elysium is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. That’s when John, the owner, truly went above and beyond. He first made calls to see if anyone was available to help me retrieve my belongings, and when that wasn’t possible, he personally met me at the club at 10:30 PM on a Monday night. Despite my stressful situation, John was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. Not only was I able to recover my belongings, but everything was exactly as I had left it—nothing was missing. The club itself is a great place to spend an evening, but the integrity and care shown by the people who run it makes it even more appealing. Of all the places I could have lost my purse, I’m so grateful it was here. Fun music, great atmosphere, and even better people. 10/10 would visit again.

Excellent spot. I've been for goth nights, 90s, and 80s, and I always stop in when I'm in Austin. The layout is great. Nice lounge, bar, dance floor, stage, patio, and pool table. Late night food options all around. Love it.

This was my first time going to Elysium! It was a Birthday Date Night & Haven was there! It was nice & dark, with flashing lights illuminating the dance floor, smoke machines... The atmosphere was PERFECT! Phenomenal sound, comfortable seating, friendly staff, & a fantastic selection of beverages. This was a TRULY memorable night & I am looking forward to going back again!

I love Elysium! Every time I visit, I feel very welcome. It's also a good creative space to just be yourself. I met new friends there, and I enjoyed looking at the art all around the venue. All the employees were nice to me and answered any questions. The big restroom there is so cool with the art in there. I also enjoy seeing shows there, since you can be nice and close to the stage. DJs there have all been awesome from my experiences. I would recommend going to Elysium if you want a fun and welcoming scene. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. 😎🖤🦇✨️
