Great place, with friendly staff at reception and the bar. Get there early (close to 5pm) as it is almost the only afternoon, early evening venue in Barcelona and usually picks up right after opening. Tuesdays and Sundays seem the busiest. Thursdays and Saturdays are quieter for some reason, but still worth a visit.

I checked out The Basement Barcelona on a Thursday around 5pm and stayed for about two hours. The place has a pretty open layout and “decent lighting” (there’s no dark room). Crowd-wise, it was on the quieter side, not too busy at that time. However, the biggest issue for me was the cigarette smell. Even though it’s supposed to be a non-smoking venue, it seems like management doesn’t really enforce it. The moment you head down to the cruising areas, you can immediately smell it, and there’s basically no ventilation down there. Pros: - Friendly staff at the reception - They take visitors’ IDs for entry, which adds a layer of accountability and security Cons: - Strong cigarette smell throughout the venue - No enforcement of the no-smoking policy - Poor ventilation - Thin crowd, even during peak hours - Hard to enjoy or stay long because of the smoke Update: Wow, I'm really disappointed the owner tried to claim my review was false. It's a shame they don't seem interested in actually improving the situation. Good luck

Not sure why so many people negative, I had a great experience. I am a tourist. The man at the door very clearly and professionally explained everything, very lovely guy. And inside it was so much fun. I went 6pm on a Sunday and so busy. Such a great mix of guys. I’ll definitely be back next time in Barcelona!!!

What a fun place! I went on a Tuesday afternoon like everyone says while visiting Barcelona. The staff are very friendly and made me feel comfortable my first time there. The space is well designed and very clean. The crowd was down to play and have loads of fun. Best of all they limit the smoking area to the bathroom so you don’t leave smelling like an ashtray. Recommend!

I was there on a Tuesday afternoon. Friendly staff at the door, good lockers, tiny bar but very friendly bartender and a very good and clean playroom area. The place quickly filled up and I almost stayed till closing time. I had a lot of fun and many encounters in the darkroom. Only one thing: cash only, but once you know it’s not a problem. I‘ll definitely will be back next time.
