staff was rude. very dirty and poorly maintained. best to avoid

The Jaxx was honestly the place I was most hesitant to visit because of all the negative reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised—I didn’t face any issues at all. The staff were fine, the guests were respectful, and the whole vibe was enjoyable. Forget the negative comments and just go experience it yourself. The Jaxx has a unique character and atmosphere that you won’t find in other similar places. My friend and I had a great time, and we truly felt welcome. My only suggestion: Please consider adding a douche station . It would make a big difference for comfort and hygiene, especially for guests who appreciate a well-prepared experience. Thank you, Jaxx. Keep doing your thing—and don’t let the critics stop your vibe! 🌈

Travelling with a friend from London who has been to Folsom Europe 19 years running, and the last four was a visitor to this establishment. This year, however, on the Thursday prior to Folsom Weekend he was told by a very abrupt staff member that it is a private club. Despite protesting that he has visited several times previously and spent money on goods and entrance to the rear section, the staff member became aggressive and insisted members only. Then someone else came in and paid €10 and walked straight in without showing any membership card. This incident totally ruined my friend’s weekend. My friend happens to be black so the only conclusion we can come to is that your establishment is racist. To let you know this cast a cloud over both our weekends and seriously, in this day and age, you need to re-evaluate your humanity and treat everybody the same as you yourself would expect to be treated.

I had a great time there, and I was apprehensive 'cause I was staying at another neighborhood and I had a terrible experience with a rude receptionist wearing a pigtail in the beard, at the Boiler sauna (please don't go there). But everybody was very friendly here. I was concerned about my stuff in the locker, but it was okay at the end. It was something to remember, if you know what I mean ; )

The receptionist is actually accomodating, just go and let him do his job, dont expect hotel welcome type of receptionist. The dungeon has enough cabins and g-holes, loads of smoker patrons. If that is am issue for u, dont come here. Might go back for someother times.
