We had a girls weekend and thought this would be so much fun. It was nothing like the description. There were three drag queens and the show only last about 45 minutes. We were looking for a fun show not just men dressed as women dirty dancing. We went in a Saturday night paid for vip and there were maybe 20 people and everyone but 5 were vip.
Very disappointed with this event. Not what I expected at all! We attended the event in Chicago at the YBar. Positives: 1. James, the host welcome us once we got in the establishment and provided information as how the hour will run. 2. Sasha the main Drag Queen was very entertaining. Negatives: 1. The event took place at a different location not listed on the website. 2. When we arrived the staff was still setting up things. Drag Queens we’re just coming in to get ready for the show. 3. We had VIP tickets but were sat on metal office chairs. 4. The show started 15 minutes late and ended five minutes before the set ending time. It was supposed to last for one hour. 5.The event was tailored to bridal showers and birthdays. All the guest except us were women. Never been in a drag queen show were there were not gay guest 6. Only three Drag queens performed. 7.The performers were not very talented. Not great lip singers or dancers. I have seem much better performers at a night club. 8. Over priced for the quality of the show
We had lots of fun! I know other people have complained about cancellations and venue changes, so I'll share my experience - the show that we originally bought tickets for was indeed cancelled, but someone contacted me about it far in advance and let me choose any other date I wanted. Then when we got to our rescheduled show, we discovered they had put us on the VIP list for free, so that was pretty nice. There was also a venue change for our show, but someone called me and left a voicemail about it and also texted tons of info, so that was really not an issue at all. The venue was cool. My only complaint about the show was that it was a little bride-heavy and they did a bit that was a little too long with all the brides who were there for bachelorette parties. But the drag queens were cool, and one in particular was the best - I don't remember her name but I think she did Vogue wearing a tie. I'd definitely do it again.
Not sure where these positive reviews came from, because to me the whole thing came off as a big scam. Where do I begin? First of all, the ticket was $75 for the show and a three course meal. The tickets said doors open at 6:30. There was a last minute venue change. We showed up at 6:30 and the doors were no opened. We had to wait at least 15 minutes outside on a very hot and humid day. Then when we finally get inside, we are told we cannot sit in the “VIP” area which consisted of a bunch of folding chairs. Instead our group had to sit in an area behind a giant pillar where we couldn’t see the stage. Then “dinner” was finally ready. It was cold and tasteless. The show was average and we were rushed out the door after and hour in favor of bachelorette parties there is see a strip show.
