Gay 90's Minneapolis

I dont go out too much, but when I do I come here and the best part of it was the karaoke bar on the first floor. I LOVED getting to sing anything I wanted in a queue with everyone else and the staff included. It was what I wanted in Karaoke. No time limits just the queue of everyone singing and enjoying everyone's flavor in song and singing. I also wanted to show my out-of-country Fiance this bar but now I will never get to. I don't know why we had to move and completely change it to a small set list of songs to be sung on stage live streamed when I just wanted a small comfortable place to sing with peers. I do not feel comfortable singing live streamed, if anything they should just have fixed up the room and maybe upgrade the equipment. They did not need to gut the karaoke bar. The hosts currently are energetic and do great at getting everyone along the songs. But the beauty of the old bar was to give the person in queue to get their moment and everyone appreciates it in the end. Simple and wonderful. BRING BACK THE OLD BAR.

Literally love the 90s down. The bar staff are so friendly, and the security always stays alert! My fave part is the drag show the queens do an amazing job making everyone feel included! also love the walking tacos

I used to love the 90s but it is absolutely the bar where straight people go to "experience gay culture". The bartenders are always nice but the weekend crowd is the worst, just a bunch of drunk college students. You can have a fun night there if you know how but I wouldn't choose it when there's plenty of better places to have a good time

It was fun and divey, and everyone here was having a good time. My coworker from Minnesota recommended that I check this place out with my girlfriend, so we did. I don’t know what I expected, but coming from New York I was admittedly blown away by the size of this place. It’s got massive strip club vibes, and there were definitely a lot of straight people for better or worse.

It’s been Long time since I have been to the 90’s. The crowd was young and fun! Bartenders were friendly, karaoke was cute and no cover if you go in before 9 for karaoke. The cages are fun to dance in. Music was on point in every room. No drama …security was present but fine.
