Wifey's Queer Bar

Visiting the city and happened upon this diamond in the rough on the fringe of the French Quarter. Not a very old bar, but already established its identity as a safe space for anyone and everyone. The prices are worth the trek outside the touristy areas, believe me! Bottles of beer are $3-5 each and mixed drinks are priced perfectly. You won't ring up a $300 tab unless you're buying rounds for everyone in the bar! Our bartender for the night was the wonderful Ginger. She was the HBIC and a delight! She made our "Happy Little Accident" of stumbling in off the street the best stop of our trip in New Orleans. Oh, and there's a pool table in the back!

I was in New Orleans for 5 days for my birthday. My friend and I stopped into Wifey's on April 2nd. Loved it! Cozy and super friendly! Ginger was the best!

Visiting from out of town, shoutout to Ginger and Aleesha!! We came on karaoke Wednesday and Missy made us feel so welcomed! Everyone is great including the regulars, seriously can’t recommend enough 🫶🏻

This location is phenomenal!!! Im so happy to have some place so close to me. The quintessential neighborhood bar! The bartenders are so sweet🩷 Andrea is the nicest!! I always just passed by Iggy's because it was Cash Only but Bobby is more than willing to take my credit. Bobby et al are insatiably welcome to the area. I'll bring all my friends here from now on; a really good spot to begin a night out or to keep a good night going :)

What an absolute gem. Big congrats to Bobby for bringing an incredible inclusive neighborhood vibe. Lorna behind the bar is a sparkly unicorn vison. Wonderful staff, wonderful patrons. Can't recommend enough. Go there, be kind, be happy.
