I'm thrilled to share the latest scoop on what's making waves in St. Louis – and it's all about celebrating our vibrant LGBTQ+ community!
As we dive into the heart of summer, our beloved city is buzzing with excitement. The recent announcement that the iconic Citygarden will be hosting a Pride-themed art installation has left us all feeling like we're walking on sunshine! This innovative collaboration between the St. Louis Art Museum and the Missouri History Museum promises to bring an unparalleled level of creativity and inclusivity to the city's Pride celebrations.
But that's not all, folks! The St. Louis Pride organization has reportedly secured a whopping 30+ local businesses to participate in their annual "Pride Month" promotions. From discounts at popular boutiques like Outlandish & Company to special deals on delicious eats at eateries like the iconic La Luna Cafe, there's something for everyone in our amazing LGBTQ+ community.
And let's not forget about the main event itself – St. Louis Pride 2023! With a new location this year, the festivities will be taking over the beautiful Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. I've heard whispers that some of our favorite local performers are gearing up to take the stage, including the fabulous DJ Mike Lane and the enchanting drag queen sensation, Ruby Rose!
But what really has me pumped is the focus on mental health awareness and support at this year's Pride celebration. In light of the recent national discussions surrounding LGBTQ+ youth mental health, our community is stepping up in a big way to provide resources and support for those who need it most.
As we look back on past Pride events, it's clear that St. Louis has consistently proven itself to be a beacon of hope and inclusivity. From the electric energy of our annual parade to the heartfelt moments of connection at our community gatherings, there's no denying that our city is home to some of the most passionate, compassionate, and dedicated individuals on this planet!
So mark your calendars for June 17th (rain date: June 18th) as we come together to celebrate all things Pride in St. Louis! With a jam-packed schedule featuring live music, delicious eats, and activities galore, there's something for every member of our amazing community.
As I wrap up this article, I'm reminded of why I love being part of The Pink Pulse family – it's because we're passionate about amplifying the voices and stories of our LGBTQ+ community. And with events like St. Louis Pride on the horizon, I know that together, we'll create a brighter, more loving future for all!
