As an LGBTQ+ individual, I've found Columbus to be a haven where I can be myself without fear of judgment or rejection. One of the things that sets Columbus apart from other cities is its thriving arts scene. You'll find no shortage of LGBTQ+ representation here, either – from queer-owned businesses to inclusive events like the annual Columbus Pride festival. Speaking of which, Columbus Pride is one of the city's most beloved celebrations. Each June, the streets come alive with colorful floats, live music, and a sea of rainbow flags waving in the wind. It's an incredible sight, really – people of all ages, genders, and orientations coming together to celebrate love, acceptance, and community. These organizations provide vital resources and support services for students, faculty, and staff who identify as LGBTQ+, helping to create a more welcoming environment for all.
