Hey there, fellow foodies and Columbus lovers! I'm stoked to share my latest culinary adventure in this amazing city. As a proud resident of the C-Bus, I've had the pleasure of exploring all that Columbus has to offer – from its eclectic neighborhoods to its thriving LGBTQ+ community.
In this article, I'll take you on a gastronomic journey through the heart of Columbus, highlighting some of my favorite spots for dining and drinking. Whether you're a long-time local or just visiting, get ready to indulge in the best of what Columbus has to offer!
First up, let's talk about the North Market. This historic gem is a must-visit for anyone who loves food, community, and – of course – Pride! With over 30 vendors under one roof, you'll find everything from artisanal cheeses to gourmet chocolates. I'm obsessed with La Tortilla Factory, where you can grab delicious tacos and burritos made with love.
Next door, The Guild House is a hotspot for brunch enthusiasts. Their famous "Fancy Pants" menu features dishes like the decadent "Donut Waffle Sandwich" – yes, you read that right! With a side of sweet potato fries, this indulgent treat will keep you going all day long.
Now, let's head to the Short North, where the energy is always electric. My go-to spot for dinner is Bistro 614, serving up creative American cuisine with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Be sure to try their mouthwatering burgers and craft cocktails – perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening.
If you're in the mood for something sweet, look no further than Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. This Columbus institution has been scooping up smiles since 2002, with unique flavors like Browned Butter Almond Brittle and Wildberry Lavender Honey. You might even spot some of our fabulous local drag queens serving up scoops at events around town!
Last but not least, we have the vibrant Franklin Park neighborhood, where the LGBTQ+ community shines bright. I adore the laid-back vibe at The Village Bar, where you can grab a cold one and enjoy live music or trivia nights. Their famous "Village Wings" are a staple for any Pride party – trust me on that one!
In conclusion, Columbus is a city that truly has something for everyone. From its diverse neighborhoods to its thriving LGBTQ+ community, there's no shortage of excitement and joy. Whether you're a foodie, a nightlife enthusiast, or just looking for a taste of the local scene, Columbus Eats has got you covered.
So, what are you waiting for? Come taste the pride with me!
