Dallas Pride 2023: The Countdown Begins! -------------------------------- Get ready for the biggest party of the year! Dallas Pride is just around the corner, and we can't wait to celebrate with you. On June 10th, the city will come alive with parades, performances, and more. This year's theme is "Rebel Heart," paying tribute to the courage and resilience of our community. We're expecting a record-breaking crowd at the parade, which will feature floats, marching bands, and plenty of LGBTQ+ representation from local organizations and businesses. And don't even get me started on the after-parties – it's going to be a night to remember! **Community Spotlight:** One of my favorite things about Dallas is its thriving community of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and artists. Take, for example, the fabulous **Bishop Arts District**, where you can find everything from rainbow-painted coffee cups to queer-owned boutiques. Another gem is **Oak Lawn**, a neighborhood that's home to some of the city's most iconic gay bars and clubs. From **The Round-Up** to **Lola's**, there's always something happening on Oak Lawn. And let's not forget about the **Rainbow Lounge**, our beloved community space that hosts everything from book clubs to karaoke nights! **Local Love:** When it comes to supporting local businesses, Dallas has got you covered! Take a stroll down **Lower Greenville**, where you'll find everything from queer-friendly coffee shops to art galleries showcasing LGBTQ+ artists. And don't miss out on the incredible **Deep Ellum** neighborhood, which is home to some of the city's best restaurants and bars. From **The Porch** to **The Rustic**, there's always something delicious happening in Deep Ellum! **Pride Month Events:** Throughout June, Dallas will be hosting a plethora of Pride Month events that'll keep you busy from sunup to sundown! Here are just a few highlights: * **LGBTQ+ Film Festival**: A must-attend for any movie lover! * **Pride Flag Raising Ceremony**: Join us at City Hall as we raise the iconic rainbow flag high! * **Transgender Day of Remembrance**: A powerful tribute to our transgender siblings.
