By Josh Menghi
Hey there, Pulse fam! It's your boy Josh Menghi here, and I am STOKED to be sharing my fave spots in Fort Lauderdale for an unforgettable night out!
As a self-proclaimed nightlife connoisseur (or, you know, just a guy who loves to party), I've got the scoop on the best bars, clubs, and lounges that'll keep you dancing 'til dawn. And trust me, FTL's got game! So, grab your squad and get ready to paint the town rainbow!
First off, let's talk about Wilton Manors – a.k.a. the "Gayborhood" of Fort Lauderdale. This charming neighborhood is home to some of the city's most iconic LGBTQ+ bars and clubs. Case in point: The Stonewall National Monument-approved, oh-so-fabulous, Georgie's Alibi (2240 Wilton Dr). Where else can you sip on a cosmopolitan while watching the sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway? It's like stepping into a scene from Queer Eye, minus the makeover – unless that includes a fresh new haircut and a killer wardrobe, in which case, I'm HERE. FOR. IT!
When the sun dips below the horizon (and our tolerance for daytime activities wears off), it's time to get this party started! Head over to the Beach Place (33 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd) for some beachside revelry. This trendy spot boasts an impressive craft beer selection, live music, and a patio overlooking the ocean – because, priorities! As the night unfolds, grab a drink at the bar or snag a comfy couch and watch the stars with your squad.
Now, let's get a little more low-key (or high-energy, depending on how you roll) at The Dubliner (218 S Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd). This Irish-inspired pub is a hidden gem, serving up some of the best burgers in town. Plus, their trivia nights are a hoot! So, gather your crew and get ready to flex those brain muscles – or just show off your questionable knowledge of 90s pop culture.
Of course, no night out would be complete without a little bit of karaoke (or, you know, just belting your fave tunes at the top of your lungs). Enter: The Karaoke Lounge (2201 N Federal Hwy) in Pompano Beach – mere minutes from FTL. This cozy spot has got all the feels, with an impressive song selection and a warm, welcoming vibe.
Last but not least, let's give it up for the Fort Lauderdale Pride celebrations! Each year, our city comes together to honor our community and celebrate the spirit of love and acceptance. From parades to parties, there's always something on tap to make your heart sing (or at least get you singing along to your fave show tunes).
That's my two cents on Fort Lauderdale nights, folks! Whether you're a local or just visiting, this city has got game – and I'm not just talking about the world-famous beachside volleyball scene (although, let's be real, that is some top-notch entertainment). From Wilton Manors to the Beach Place, The Dubliner to The Karaoke Lounge, there's something for everyone in FTL.
So go ahead, grab your squad, and get ready to paint the town rainbow! And remember: when the night gets hot, the party never ends – at least not until the sun comes up again!
Stay fabulous, Fort Lauderdale!
