It's the perfect setting to let your hair down (or put it up – we won't judge) and dance the night away. Next Up: The Stoned Cold Pizza Party at the Green Parrot Bar! Who doesn't love pizza, music, and good company? This laid-back gathering spot has been a Key West staple since 1973. With its walls adorned with colorful artwork and eclectic decor, it's the perfect place to unwind and connect with fellow travelers. And then there's the incomparable Louie's Backyard! This beloved restaurant, nestled in a lush garden oasis, serves up delectable cuisine amidst a whimsical atmosphere that's simply enchanting. It's where I discovered their famous conch fritters – heavenly! Key West Pride: A Celebration Like No Other! As we approach the peak of the summer season, excitement builds for Key West Pride (June 11-13). This annual extravaganza has become a highlight on our community calendar. Expect an unforgettable weekend filled with parades, parties, and live performances celebrating our diversity. Reportedly, this year's theme is "Love Knows No Bounds," further solidifying the island's commitment to inclusivity and acceptance. I've found that this spirit of unity permeates every aspect of Key West life, making it a true haven for all who call themselves part of the LGBTQ+ community.
