The parade itself takes place on the famous Las Vegas Strip, where we come together as a community to march, dance, and show off our fabulousness. And, of course, there are plenty of pre-and post-parade parties to keep the fun going all weekend long! But Pride isn't just about one day – it's a whole month of celebrating our identities, our resilience, and our queer pride! Throughout June, you can find all sorts of events and activities that showcase our community's creativity, activism, and love. From drag shows to art exhibits, from workshops to fundraisers, there's something for everyone. Now, let's talk about some of my favorite local spots that are perfect for a Pride-filled evening out! The iconic Chippendales show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino is always a hit with the ladies (and gents!), while the hypnotic beats and mesmerizing light shows at XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas will keep you dancing all night long. And then there's the legendary gay bar scene, where we can let our hair down and be ourselves. From the welcoming atmosphere of PBR Rockbar & Grill to the sassy charm of Flamingo Cocktail Lounge, there's a spot for every taste and style. Of course, no Pride celebration would be complete without a little bit of magic! The Fountains of Bellagio are always breathtaking, but during Pride month, they take on an extra-special significance. As the water jets dance to a medley of LGBTQ+ anthems and show tunes, it's hard not to get chills and feel the love. But what really makes Las Vegas shine is our community's unwavering spirit and resilience. From the tireless work of local organizations like The Center and PFLAG to the countless individuals who make a difference every day, we are truly fortunate to have such a supportive and inclusive environment.
