One of my favorite haunts is the famous Toff in Town (264-280 Collins St), a stalwart of Melbourne's queer scene since 2005. This iconic venue has hosted everyone from local legends to international superstars, with its eclectic mix of DJs, live acts, and themed parties guaranteeing something for every taste. Whether you're grooving to indie beats or getting down to techno thrills, the Toff is a must-visit destination. For those seeking a more laid-back vibe, the iconic Eureka Hotel (126-130 La Trobe St) is a treasure trove of queer culture. This historic pub has been a Melbourne institution since 1855 and boasts an impressive array of live music events, karaoke nights, and themed parties. Its sprawling beer garden is the perfect spot to unwind with friends or make new ones. Melbourne's drag scene is another force to be reckoned with! The iconic Madame Brule's (114-116 Hardware Lane) has been serving up sassy sass and sickening performances since 1993. This beloved institution is a must-visit for any self-respecting queen, king, or ally looking to experience the best of Melbourne's drag culture. Of course, no discussion of Melbourne's nightlife would be complete without mentioning the legendary Melbourne Pride March (usually held in late November). As the city comes together to celebrate its LGBTQ+ community, the streets transform into a kaleidoscope of color, music, and love. It's an unforgettable experience that leaves you feeling proud, empowered, and ready to take on the world!
