From Little Havana to Wynwood, and from Art Deco architecture to beachside sunsets – there's no shortage of excitement in this 305! As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I've had the pleasure of exploring Miami's thriving scene, and let me tell you, it's a party like no other! From iconic drag shows at The Corner to the sultry sounds of South Beach's finest DJs, there's something for everyone in this inclusive city. One of the most exciting developments is the rapid growth of our community centers. The Pride Center at Equality Florida, located in the heart of Wilton Manors, has become a beacon for support and resources, offering everything from HIV testing to counseling services. And let's not forget the work being done by the Miami LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, which has been instrumental in fostering connections between local businesses and community organizations. But it's not all about work (or partying) – there are some incredible events on the horizon! The 2023 Miami Pride Festival is shaping up to be one for the books, with headlining performances by none other than pop sensation, Hayley Kiyoko. And if you're looking for something a little more low-key, the annual Stonewall Street Festival in June promises to be an unforgettable celebration of our community's resilience and strength. And for those looking to stay active, the city's numerous fitness studios and gyms offer everything from yoga and Pilates to rock climbing and kickboxing. But let's not forget about the arts! Miami has long been a hub for creatives, with world-class museums like the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
