PDX Pride: My Love Letter to Portland's LGBTQ+ Scene

As I stepped off the light rail train and onto the streets of Portland, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. This city, my adopted home, has stolen my heart in ways I never thought possible. And with the city's many inclusive spaces, like the Portland LGBTQ+ Community Center and the Queer Resource Center, there's always someone looking out for you. As someone who's called this city home for a while now, I can confidently say that Portland's LGBTQ+ community is one of its greatest treasures.
