One of the best restaurants we had dinner in Amsterdam. Having food here was an unforgettable experience. Believe, we had to come twice in a 5 days trip. Staff is super nice, including the barman that is kind of an alchemist doing very good cocktails. The sourdough bread has a smoked sauce that is incredible and the Pistachio Tiramisu is a must to have dessert! We also got the slow cooked lamb and it’s pretty good. We had this plate twice and they were very different because of the changing of the menu. But both were super good. To the housing chef: we liked the most the one with black beans cream, sweet potato and onions (our fist one).
Don’t forget you’re trying a different cuisine. The menu isn’t extensive and changes periodically. The sauces and cooking styles may not always suit your taste, so sharing a few dishes is a good idea. For example, my friend’s slow-cooked lamb was tasty, but instead of finishing one full plate, trying different flavors made the experience more enjoyable. My husband ordered the Mediterranean ceviche; we liked the red pepper base. My fish dish was nicely enriched with caciki and a green tahini sauce. My son’s shrimp seafood dish, however, was a bit too sour and spicy for us and was the weakest dish. The tomato carpaccio and the bread with dips we had as starters were excellent. The service, however, was slightly below the level of the restaurant. For instance, the staff serving us felt less attentive compared to others—we noticed another table being celebrated with drinks at the end of their meal.
What a great experience at Night Kitchen Amsterdam. We celebrated our daughter's birthday there with family and friends. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with kind and energetic staff. the sharable dishes were AMAZING. we tried half! of the menu and everything was delicious. The Fresh Sourdough Bread, Tomato Carpaccio, Mediterranean "Ceviche", Fried Artichoke Heart, Charred Leeks, Grilled Fish Skewers, Slow Cooked Lamb For desert: the Pistachio Tiramisu. The cocktails were great as well, we tried the Elder and Wiser, the Negroni and the Owl Fashioned which was fantastic. All in all a must try when you are in Amsterdam. Reserve a table in advance.
Really enjoyed our dining experience at Night Kitchen. We managed to get a spot by the bar and it was really nice. The service was top notch from the moment we walked in all the way till the end of our night. The bartender was very helpful with food recommendations and made exceptional cocktails as well (highly recommend the night colada and mezcaloma). The food was delicious too: we had the ceviche, artichoke hearts, gnudi and slow cooked lamb. The lamb was hands down our favourite. The desserts are amazing too. The pistachio tiramisu is a must!!! I love that it isn’t too sweet.. will definitely be back again ☺️
