RHO Hotel Amsterdam

Cold A/c, hot showers, clean linens, hotel breakfast option has excellent (and plenty of) food, attentive desk staff, and very safe location in town. The internal layout of the place is a crazy maze, but no problem just going in/out to our room. Would definitely revisit if in the area.

I stayed at Rho hotel in room 135 for 6 days, last week of May 2026. The location was excellent!! right in the heart of Amsterdam and within easy walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and public transportation options. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. They even assisted me with exchanging large bills into smaller denominations, which was incredibly convenient. As a solo traveler, I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious my room was. It was much larger than I expected and was cleaned every day. Bed was very comfy. The only downside was the Wi-Fi. The internet connection in my room was inconsistent and frequently dropped in and out, so I ended up using a significant amount of my mobile data during my stay. Overall, the fantastic location, spacious room, daily housekeeping, and excellent staff made for a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially if the Wi-Fi issue is improved.

Great location if you are 20 and only interested in a couple of things. Terrible location if sleep is a priority. Room was nice for a backpackers. TV is the size of your phone, no AC, Terrible WiFi, no iron, black mold and pealing wall paper. Security was interesting with people trying to get into the room area without an access car. Staff seemed to have no interest in doing anything about this.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rho Hotel. The concierge staff were incredibly kind and gave us suggestions of things to do in the city. The rooms were basic but clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The walls area a bit thin so we did get sound from nearby rooms, but the hotel did provide earplugs which was helpful. Would absolutely stay here again in the future!

I did not appreciate the service at the reception. The staff does not pay attention to guests’ requests, and my special request was not fulfilled, with no explanation or follow-up. The luggage storage service is very concerning: there is no security at all, no access control, and no cameras inside. Anyone can enter, which is unacceptable for a hotel. Housekeeping does not come every day. The room was left exactly as it was, without cleaning or tidying up. The room is very small and poorly soundproofed. You can clearly hear noise from neighboring rooms. In addition, there was a lot of noise coming from the exterior. Overall, the value for money is poor: the hotel is too expensive for the level of service and comfort provided. 👉 My advice: skip this hotel. There are much better options nearby for the same price or even cheaper.
