A beloved neighborhood bookstore with everything you could want. New and used books. Friendly and engaging staff. Local gifts and paper goods. A highlight is the curation of children’s books! Clearly the owner does their homework and finds the most beautiful and profound kids illustrated work out there. Would recommend to anyone - in person or through bookshop.org
I heard about this bookstore from seeing them on Instagram and following their posts, and their posts are on point for what the store environment is like! I went a couple weeks ago and was thrilled by the store! Not only was the staff super kind but they were also playing amazing music that they didn’t judge me for singing and dancing to. They had a wide variety of genres of book and locally sourced trinkets that I thought were really cool. I ended up buying a mug for my roommate’s birthday that she absolutely adored Overall, this is a must shop bookstore!
Buy books from Bookish, simple as that! When I moved to Atlanta and had no friends, Bookish was a happy place to talk to Kendra and buy books. Now I have friends, it's still a happy place to talk to Kendra and buy books. Don't like talking? No problem, it's zero pressure to chat or buy. They are stocked with great titles, they have used books (which i love), and stationery (yay). They support the local community, and genuinely wonderful. Buy books from here 💯
Bookish is such a gem in the east Atlanta community. The store is lovely and has so much more than just books! I loved that they had a collection of things like tarot decks and community aid materials. Annie helped me pick out a book from their reading challenge (which is free)! I love that I can follow along with this challenge to read books in categories I wouldn’t normally reach for. I’m hopping to go to one of their many events soon and bring some friends!
I loved this place immensely. The posters, the art, the stickers, all pure perfection. It was a wonderful little paradise full of queer books and words against oppression. Will visit again when I get the chance. 💜
