This is a very unique Marriott partner. It's made more for a 20 -30 year old not a business traveler. If you've ever been on a cruise ship that is what the rooms look like, teeny tiny. Not sure the room was 300 sq ft. The beds are like sleeping in your boyfriends dorm room loft. No top sheet just a duvet on top of a fitted sheet, seemed a little unsanitary although the room was spotless and clean. The desk area to work was super small. No wash clothes. No valet parking, all self serve although there were several nearby parking garages for me to drag my luggage around the streets of Austin. The staff was friendly. The best part about the whole stay was Cameron, the roof top bartender extraordinaire, and a lovely outdoor pool area too. I'd go back just to have a cocktail, but not sure I'd stay again. Oh and the elevators were painfully slow. Great location and price (for their launch) but not the atmosphere I'm looking for as a business traveler. The chain is out of Amsterdam and the decor focuses on the red light district. Unique to say the least. Hope you choose wisely for your next hotel in Austin! Oh and all the controls for the lights or colored lights if you desire and the heat/AC as well as the blinds are all controlled from an iPad. More high tech than I wanted in the middle of the night.
