The Otis Hotel Austin, Autograph Collection

We had a amazing stay. The staff was so attentive and kind. Special shout out to Jack was spot on with his music selection. I asked him for a moody R&B vibe and his selection was perfection.

I’ve been to a lot of nice hotels. This one is as good as any 5 star locations. The staff was wonderful and attentive to special needs (allergies) The rooftop bar and pool are especially nice. Good drinks and snacks. Pricey, but that’s expected. The guests were an eclectic group of parents and business travelers. Great for people watching.

The staff was great and the location suited our needs for a business trip. I read a review that said this hotel was a 4 star with a 5 star vibe. Not even close! I paid $1600 for two night in a king suite. The room was acceptable at minimun standards but too small for our liking. We enjoyed some time on the 11th floor roof top deck. The food from room service was subpar (cold) and we had to request ice 3 times and ended up going down to the desk to get our own. Maybe it is us- but if you think you are getting a 5 star vibe from this hotel it is not going to happen. My expectations were higher than this hotel was able to deliver. It was nice but the value to us was not there.

I stayed at the hotel for my sister’s birthday and called ahead to see if there was any way to make it a little special. I spoke with Lala who was super kind and said she’d send a complimentary amenity. She also left a handwritten card in the room, which was a really thoughtful touch and made the stay feel more personal. Check-in was really easy, and overall everything just felt smooth and taken care of. The lobby coffee is always great too. This will definitely be our go-to hotel whenever we’re in Austin.

My stay at The Otis Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you walk in, you feel as though you’ve stepped into a beautifully curated museum, with stunning artwork inspired by the classic LPs of yesterday. Music lovers will immediately feel at home. The art throughout the hotel is truly astounding, thoughtfully displayed and perfectly woven into the overall design. Every corner feels intentional and creative, making the entire space an experience in itself. The rooms are quaint but incredibly comfortable, offering a cozy retreat while still maintaining the hotel’s unique musical personality. One of the most fun touches is the musical options available to guests, which make the stay feel even more special and immersive. However, the highlight of our visit was the exceptional service we received during check-in from Deana. She was knowledgeable, welcoming, and incredibly customer-focused, setting the tone for a wonderful stay from the very beginning. This hotel is a true gem in Austin. Between the music-inspired atmosphere, incredible artwork, and top-tier hospitality, we absolutely can’t wait to return for another stay.
