Awesome food! Awesome NIÑO TOAST and truly a coconut cloud joy feeling on that açai granola. Mmmmmmm and: the lime pancakes are a truly a revelation. Beautiful smoothies and very good cafe solo. 5 star full on! My wife and I simply loved it!

We visited Lato - Born Café for brunch one day during our stay in Barcelona, and it turned out to be a really pleasant and memorable stop. The café has a unique concept with Ecuadorian-inspired design elements and playful llama icons throughout the space, which gives it a fun and distinctive character compared to more standard brunch spots in the city. It feels creative and well thought out, without being over the top. We started with coffee, and the flat white had a really nice, intense aroma—well-balanced and a great way to kick off the brunch. For food, we ordered pancakes and an egg dish. The pancakes were the highlight for us: one with chocolate and one with lemon glaze. The lemon glaze version was especially outstanding—fresh, slightly tangy, and perfectly balanced, making it our personal favorite. My husband also really enjoyed his egg dish, which was well-prepared and satisfying. The service deserves a special mention as well. Even though it was quite busy, our waitress was extremely friendly, patient, and attentive. She took her time to make recommendations and even helped with taking photos, which added a very personal touch to the experience. Overall, a lovely brunch spot in El Born with a fun concept, good food, and very warm service—definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

The staff was amazingly helpful and so smiling! And also has great english as well so I didn’t felt lost. The food was great and tasty. Drinks were amazingly fresh and tasty as well! About the price of course its different then our country’s price so I cant really judge it but I can say its okay! definitely will suggest this place to my friends thank you for the food bon Appétit

Today we had a late brunch after a hike, and this place was perfect to relax and recharge. We felt comfortable right away. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, high-quality, and offered a great variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian options. The prices were also very reasonable.

Even though we did not like the cafe that much, we think it deserves mentioning as still a viable breakfast option. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the decor is welcoming. Cappuccino is served with the trademark llama or tortuga cacao powder pictures. What we did not like, however, was the food, which was quite dull and nothing special at all. We expected more interesting flavours from Ecuadorian cuisine. Based on the very high rating on TripAdvisor/Google, apparently other guests had much more positive experience, so maybe the place deserves a second chance.
