Hotel Motel One Berlin-Tiergarten

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April 2026. The staff was very friendly from arrival to departure, and all my requests were handled quickly and efficiently. On the day of check-in, I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to give me my room right away. The room was a bit smaller than average, but still comfortable enough for my stay. The hotel is also conveniently located close to public transportation, which made getting around very easy. It was a positive experience I will definitely stay here again.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have had. They advertise climate control air conditioning with cooling but it is completely switched off as confirmed with the rude lady at the reception. No apology or any attempt to resolve the problem I was told I should cancel if I am not happy. Rooms are painfully hot even when the window was left open all afternoon. Rooms themselves are not even that nice. I have stayed in cheaper places with much nicer rooms but sadly chose here thinking it would be convenient for the half marathon.

Mean value for the mean price. Advantages: clean, located closely to the historical center, easily reached by public transport. Disadvantages: tiny rooms facing noisy street, Wi-Fi free yet with no internet, unfriendly/unresponsive reception staff, no drinking water in the room, very uncomfortable beds. Giving 3 stars in total only due to très sympathique restaurant's staff serving a real esspresso, preparing nice, fresh breakfast and being authentically involved - the best feature of this hotel. I would consider this hotel for a short, not particularly comfortable stay for reasonable price.

First off the location is great! The Hotel itself looks very nice upon the entrance and the staff was outstandingly friendly and polite. The Room however lived not up to the Motel One standard I got used to. The room kind of felt outdated and not that well upkeept. The breakfast buffet was nice and had a good selection, even though it could profit from a few more sweet options.

Good Hotel, but they don't provide kettle and coffee in the room. they have smart TV so that you can connect your phone to the TV that is very good thing. Rooms are quite small not able to open big suitcase.
