The only good thing about this hotel is the Location. I had so many issues at this location.
I had my wedding at the Grand Hyatt and a lot of my guest stayed at Hyatt Place, along with my vendors because it was cheaper.
1. I reserved 7 rooms and have confirmation for ALL 7. They only let 6 rooms check in and said they didn't have a 7th room reserved for me.
2. My card was marked as fraud after they charged 4 of the rooms. They called me to say that my card was declining, when I told them I received a fraud notification and that I handled it and they could charge it again, they told me I had to bring in my physical card. So the night before my wedding at 11:45 PM, I walk there to give them my card. Once again, it was marked as fraud which I showed the lady the message, and she refused to charge the card.
3. One of the guys that was there for my wedding was sitting in the lobby watching a sports game. He saw me and asked me what I was doing there so I sat down to explain to him what was going on. The lady at the front desk rudely comes over to us and tells us that we need to leave the lobby because people are sleeping. Keep in mind that we were practically whispering to each other.
4. A few days after, I check my credit card and see that I was OVERCHARGED BY $1500. I tried contacting them so many times but they keep ignoring me.
I have never had such a terrible experience. The lady working the front desk was the most rudest employee I have ever experienced.
I wish I could give this hotel a 5-star rating. The location is nice, feels safe, and is near great shopping and restaurants. The layout of the rooms is wonderful, with a comfortable couch/pull-out bed and a nice workspace in addition to the usual amenities. The front desk people are friendly and knowledgeable. The free breakfast is good, if not great. And the price of the room is reasonable.
The first downside is not a deal-breaker, but their internet is slow, and sometimes the TV even lost its signal. The second downside was what made me lower my rating. When you check in, you are given a sheet of paper describing the features of the hotel, including daily room cleaning. The online description of the hotel said the same thing. On my first day there, I returned in the evening to find that my room had not been serviced at all. So on the morning of the second day, I went to the desk and was told that room cleaning was only every other day. On that second day, I did receive full service. On the third day, although I was expecting no service at all, my trash cans were emptied and my towels were changed. The bed was not made. And on my fourth day, I again had no service at all. I checked out on the fifth day. Returning to a hotel room at the end of the day to find the bed made and clean towels left is part of the joy of traveling and staying in a hotel. My bed was made on only one of my four days there, clean towels brought only on two, and this is what brought the lower rating.
I really enjoyed my stay at Hyatt Place Atlanta/Buckhead over a busy Mother’s Day weekend overall, it was a very positive .
Miss Martha at the front desk truly stood out. She was warm, friendly, and very attentive during our stay. She made it easy to get a microwave added to both of our rooms and just made the entire experience more pleasant from the start.
The hotel is centrally located, which made it super easy to get on and off the freeway and get around Atlanta. One of my favorite unexpected touches was the outdoor garden area it had a really peaceful, zen feel to it. Our family was able to sit outside, play cards, and enjoy the weather which made the trip even more memorable.
The breakfast each morning was honestly one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, and it delivered. The staff did a great job keeping everything stocked and organized. I really appreciated the fresh orange juice, good bagel selection, fresh fruit, and the small day-to-day variety if you’re staying multiple nights.
The gym is compact but well put together. I do wish there were a few more options (a StairMaster would’ve been great), but they made good use of the space they had.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well which I appreciated. Everything was clean overall, though the carpets could probably use a deeper clean. The shower made a slight squealing noise when using hot water, but the water pressure and temperature were consistent, so it wasn’t a major issue.
Parking was $18/day, which was easy to access with in-and-out privileges. I could’ve checked that ahead of time, but I appreciated that everything was clearly disclosed at check in which levels hotel guests were expected to park on.
Overall, this hotel did exactly what we needed for a busy family weekend. I would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Atlanta.
Nice, clean and modern accommodations. Walkable to everything in Buckhead and Buckhead Village, plus just a few blocks to the MARTA station. Breakfast in the mornings was consistently delicious and well-stocked. The fitness center has a few machines and a good selection of free weights. The pool is smaller, not heated and abuts the parking lot but better than no pool at all. Friendly staff and especially excellent service at the front desk upon checking in and out from Martha and Pearl.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stayed at Hyatt Place Atlanta/Buckhead recently, and I’ll start with this—it’s not the best Hyatt I’ve stayed in. There are quite a few Hyatts in the area, and this one is definitely more on the simple, business-like side.
That said, it’s important to note—it was clean, comfortable, and did exactly what it needed to do. Just don’t expect a full “experience” here—no standout bar or restaurant, more of a straightforward stay.
Where this place really shines is the location 📍. You’re surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and plenty of shopping, which made the stay super convenient. For the price, it’s honestly hard to beat.
Parking was easy with a garage 🚗, and the staff were amazing—friendly, polite, and very accommodating. I ended up extending my stay by a night, and they handled it with zero hassle, which I really appreciated.
Rooms were clean, well-stocked, and I had everything I needed during my stay. Nothing fancy, but no complaints there.
Overall:
⭐️ 3-star hotel feel (based on style/amenities)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4-star experience (for cleanliness, location, and service)
If you’re looking for a great location and solid value, I’d definitely recommend it 👍
