Inn at the Peachtrees, an Ascend Collection Hotel

BED BUGS!!!! I’m on a work trip for a training down here in Atlanta, saw this as a 3.5 star hotel and cheap priced. The pictures online looked great, the place looked very well put together, that is, ONLINE. In PERSON, this place is a nightmare. Obviously they’re doing renovations (apparently until June 1st according to the poster on the wall, yet there is debris everywhere), but walking to my room I noticed boxes, drywall on the floor, and just trash all around. But my MAIN point is that I got eaten up by bed bugs when I stayed here. I slept over the comforter as I was a little skeptical of the room itself, but as I went about my day today I noticed some itching. Took my shirt off and noticed I have bites EVERYWHERE, arms, legs, face, especially the back of my neck. Funny thing is I woke up while I was sleeping to something on my face, I touched my face and some kinda bug was on it. Well in that same exact spot I have a bite. So that must’ve been happening all over my body all night, the bed bugs had a feast. And if you have doubts about it being bed bugs trust me, I went to the clinic today and they confirmed they were bed bugs. Went to the front desk and asked for a refund, he said management was not there to assist and they would be back tomorrow. We’ll see if that happens.. because this is absolutely unacceptable. I am currently at a laundromat trying to dry all of my clothes to mitigate the bed bug issue and I have to find another hotel. So with this in mind, you really wanna stay here?

So a friend booked this place for 4 of us to stay while on a long weekend trip. The location is not in a bad spot but not the greatest either. We checked in and got our room key and the young lady at the counter was very nice. The lobby didn't look too bad but boy we were in for a surprise. We get on the elevator and go up to the 2nd floor. Come to find out they're undergoing HEAVY renovations. Many of the rooms are open and being worked on. We walked to the end of a hallway and all over the patio is boxes, debris, and foam. Upon entering our room, which must have not been renovated here are some of the things I see: -An outlet hanging off the wall with wiring showing -What looks like a bullet hole in back wall -Brown stains on sheets and pillows -White stains on base of one of the beds -Torn up wooden night stand -A rusted out shower vent While we didnt see any roaches or anything like some people left in their reviews, we couldn't stay here. I wish I had took pictures but we were in there for maybe 15 minutes while booking another room and left. We should've tried to get a refund but honestly we just bit the bullet and stayed elsewhere. At least it was cheap. I honestly don't think this place would be bad but perhaps should be closed while finishing ALL renovations!!

Do not stay here! They are going through renovations which no one told us booking 6 months in advance. Which means everything is closed down or unusable. NO court yard. Giant dumpster to greet you outfront. It does not look like the pictures at all very very very misleading. Its total false advertisment. We had our cieling falling on our heads and they couldnt move the room because the few rooms they have open were booked and refused to give us a refund. Theres not even a manager on duty to talk to on the weekend. The air conditioner barely worked, the fridge had a extenstion cord that was hooked up to everything they could ( talk about a fire hazard), and the drain in the shower pooled so bad you would of thought you were taking a bath.They should not even be open if they can't safely have guests. So much for a fun birthday trip.

The only real redeeming quality of this hotel is that it's cheap and downtown. Bed sheets were dirty. Got ~26 bug bites overnight (not sure if they were bed bugs or mosquitos. Door handle on the bathroom didn't work. Sound insulation doesn't exist as you can hear everything outside. There is free breakfast that is nothing to write home about. Parking is $25 per night as of writing which is a secured parking garage that's quite small but wasn't busy at the time of writing. Nothing much to say about the staff. They're under constant renovations so there probably aren't that many rooms. If it weren't for the bug bites, I wouldn't have written the review as I'm itching now. The bug bite photo is about 3 days after the bites appeared.

We stayed here in December 2025, just before renovations were starting. The staff were really great, and the breakfast was nice - waffle machine, eggs, sausage and grits. Location is really great. However, the hotel was much more run down than we expected - one elevator was regularly broken, carpet had an odd smell, a hole in the door let wind through. A lot of it was odd mismatches - a newly tiled shower with a rusty air vent that didn't work; a bed nicely made without a blanket (which staff provided on request). While we were concerned about bugs, we did not see any on our trip. Rooms are small, but suitable. The garage is small but feels much more secure than an open lot or garage. A good deal for the price.
