Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta/Buckhead Area

If you have a family with kids or teens absolutely DO NOT!! STAY HERE I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs. I booked a two-night stay here for my family, expecting at the very least a clean and safe environment, but that expectation was immediately destroyed the moment I arrived. As soon as I pulled into the property and stepped out of my car, the overwhelming smell of marijuana was obvious, and there were clear signs of drug use happening in plain view. That alone was unacceptable and deeply disturbing, especially with my family present. The condition and atmosphere of this place were completely misleading compared to what was presented. What was advertised and what actually existed were two entirely different things. Instead of a decent hotel, I found an environment that felt neglected, unsafe, and completely inappropriate for any family stay. It was clear very quickly that this property is not being managed with any real concern for guest safety, comfort, or honesty. What makes this even worse is the blatant deception involved. Travelers deserve truthful representation of where they are staying, not a false impression that falls apart the second they arrive. I was extremely disappointed, frustrated, and angered by the experience, and I would not trust this hotel to provide even the most basic standards of cleanliness, safety, or professionalism. This was an absolutely terrible experience from the very beginning, and I left feeling misled and disgusted. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not families. The booking site is very misleading. Definitely not a family environment. The 5 star post are definitely fraudulent and misleading

It’s a basic hotel, with limited amenities. However, the location was good (next to the highway) and the staff were friendly. We stayed here 2 nights which got extended to 3 nights due to a missed flight. The staff was accommodating. The elevator didn’t work once in the morning and we had to take the stairs, and the basic rooms didn’t have microwave ovens, but honestly the hotel is more than worth it for the money. Pro tip- Get the rooms facing the back of the hotel to see trees and a creek flowing out the window.

Our stay was just for 1 night. The staff was friendly the room was super clean especially the bathroom and very updated. Looks like a new remodel. The beds are comfortable but a bit small for a plus size couple (lol) 😁. The location was about 20 minutes to downtown Atlanta and if you like a good night life there are so many night clubs and lounges just walking distance from this hotel. Literally around the corner and across the parking lot. There is bkfst provided but very lite - toast, bagel, cream cheese, butter, 3 different cereals, fruits, juice, Water and coffee.

Overall I’d say I had minimal issues with this place. Free water and cookies downstairs. Classy and cozy little living space. The only real issues were the out of order bathroom downstairs and the sketchy elevator. Elevator was pretty slow. And coming down, it felt like it would skip a link in a chain or something. Thought it was going to completely fail altogether 😂

Great Area,, Lots of Clubs and places to eat. The manager is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice as is the house staff. My only issue is when we moved from 1 room to a free upgraded room, we had a bag of items were missing mostly dirty clothes but also some personal items. We talk to staff and all didnt know. We Are Diamond Wyndham members and got a few free nights here. Again, the staff, especially the manager are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back but will make sure to keep an eye on our stuff. Oh, the continental breakfast is kinda Sad but their prices are very reasonable so can't complain.
