The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta

It’s been years since I stayed here but it’s very convenient to market so we got a room. First the pros: 1) being on the 56th floor was great because I didn’t hear any traffic like racing street bikes and hotrods with loud exhaust. We also only heard a siren one time which was great! We aren’t use to that in Atlanta. 2) the staff was super nice and accommodating for everything we needed. Now the cons: 1) housekeeping needs a little attention. Years ago I got a head cold here because I slept in front of the ac vents and discovered the filters were horribly filthy so I checked them this time and, while they were not as bad as that time years ago, there was a good bit of dust collected on the filter cover and the filter was due changing. There was also a 3’ strip of sticky tape across the inside window. A simple cleaning could’ve fixed that. 2) one of the worst issues with this room was the fact there were no usb ports anywhere to plug up phone chargers. It’s 2026 and every hotel I’ve stayed in has them except for this one. So we started looking for plug-ins and couldn’t find them until we pulled the heavy beds away from the walls to discover an outlet behind each bed! Come on Westin! Another simple upgrade you need to do. 3) a small ‘cooling box’ not a mini-frig that isn’t on until you place a drink inside of it. A sign on the ‘cooling box’ saying place your drinks or medicine inside to turn the cooler on would be nice. 4) it has a very small bathroom so I hope you’re not a big person or you’re in trouble. You can literally stand in one spot and touch the sink, toilet, shower head and door. No problem for us but it would be for a large person. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay. It just needs a little upgrade and housekeeping. Nothing major. I’ll stay here again because of the convenience to market.

It is convenient to downtown and plenty within walking distance. Overall, it is clean and plenty to do in the hotel. I waited in a queue line that was 10 deep for no reason. It is easy to walk past the small bonvoy member signs for express check in. It wasn't until I was at the counter you even noticed. There should be more markings clearly visible around the area. The view in the room and the beds are great. The bathroom door entry isn't even code size. Larger people, good luck getting in. The bathroom itself is so cramped and uncomfortable. Water pressure in the wand is non existent. Also, the rainfall showerhead is a joke. No pressure and not effective at washing off. For the rate, it was good. DO NOT pay 65 to park here. 1/2 a block down is a garage for 30. And 25 for one around the corner.

The only bad thing I could say was that the elevators were slow. It was a holiday weekend and there were a lot of events going on though. The valet was great. The breakfast buffet was more than you could ask for and the food tasted amazing. It was definately worth the price to add it to our room package. Our waitress remembered our drink order from the first day. She had been there 28 years and said it was a great place to work. That in itself is a good recommendation! It was cool to explore the common floors and to see what they had to offer. The pool was great and always had plenty of towels. It was a little bit of a splurge for our family to stay in a hotel this nice, but the experience was worth it. We were able to walk to everything we wanted. For reference, we were on the 32nd floor.

This was such a great experience! We were only in town for Momocon 2026, just stayed one night. Beat hotel we’ve been in. From check in to leaving was a wonderful experience. We don’t like heights, and I was so scared about the elevator and that we were on floor 57. But after overcoming my fear the views were absolutely breathtaking! It’s like we were in the clouds. I loved it! We will definitely be back when we are in Atlanta again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Very clean and well stocked rooms! Staff was amazing! It was a little pricey but when we saw the view it was so worth it. And oh my, THE BEDS WERE LIKE SLEEPING ON A CLOUD! The toiletries provided smelled so good! I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! A++++

Once a 4-star hotel, this property is now in serious need of a major renovation. I genuinely love the late-1970s architecture, so I appreciate that aspect and wish the hotel would lean into that. Unfortunately, the rooms and common areas are extremely worn and dated...more early-2000s, and I’ve stayed in 2-star motels that were in better condition. The shower had strong water pressure (a definite plus), but the drain was clogged, and the room frequently smelled like sewer gas. Top sheets for the beds are not large enough. The Sundial Bar was fun and not crowded, even during an otherwise busy stay. The pool area is nice, though almost comically hidden. Be aware that anything sent to you at the hotel is routed through the on-site FedEx location, with additional fees ranging from $10–$30. Housekeeping also removed a personal pillow during our stay, which was disappointing. This could be a great hotel with a significant update. The service, location, and views are all nice - when the windows aren’t completely fogged, which they were for most of our stay. Overall, decent, but don’t expect a 4-star experience.
