And let me tell you, there's no better feeling than being part of a community that proudly celebrates its own identity! In 1974, San Diego became the first city in California to establish an LGBTQ+ community center – the San Diego Pride Community Center (now known as The Center) – which remains a staple of our vibrant queer scene. Today, we're proud to host one of the largest and most iconic Pride festivals in the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of participants each June.
