Olivia Balmes Hotel Trabajo

Very good location, great service and good value for the money. Breakfast was good but long waiting time which we could not understand when ordering extra. Overall we would for sure consider to pick this hotel again if we will be back to Barcelona.

Our family of 3 stayed at Olivia Balmes hotel. What a lovely staff especially Xavi at the front desk. He was extremely welcoming and kind. He gave us excellent recommendations for dinner at a local tapas restaurant which was delicious. He also made us feel like friends. Thank you very much Xavi. The room was clean and plenty of amenities were available.

Staff is very friendly, speak multiple languages, and helpful. Rooms are spacious and have all the amenities. Within walking distance of many attractions and shopping. The optional breakfast package is worth the price.

If I could give the staff at this wonderful hotel 20+ stars, I would. I stayed here recently, and had the misfortune on Day 1 to fall and break my leg. They loaned me a wheelchair for the full duration of my stay, and moved me to a more wheelchair accessible room [which was lovely by the way]. Everyone really looked after me, making sure that I was comfortable at all times and had everything that I needed + more. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who works at this hotel – you made what could have been a nightmare for me a dream, and I will be eternally grateful to you all. Special call out to the Reception staff, Concierge team, Doorman, Restaurant staff and Housekeeping - thank you so much, again...

The hotel was ok but in my opinion not a 4 star hotel. More like a 3. The room with double beds had twin size beds which I’ve never seen in a 4 star hotel. The AC wasn’t working and the air wasn’t circulating so it was hot and stuffy all night. We called twice and they tried to fix remotely but it didn’t work. The shower was nice a bit odd the way the bathrooms were built. All parts separate and like it was inside the room versus a separate bathroom area with a proper door. Unless you’re coming with a partner or close relative with whom you don’t mind not having much privacy, don’t book here. The bell boy was super nice and they did let us check in super early because the room was ready which was a nice perk. I may stay here again but for a lower rate and a room with bigger beds. The breakfast was average. Not a lot of choices, no omelette just greasy scrambled eggs. But the location is good and the hotel is very clean.
