+ it’s pretty clean + good locay + some staff is nice and helpful - rooms not sound proof so you’ll hear all the noise and people in the corridors - I got asked to pay for leaving the luggage between my check out and check in the same day even though I got told I didn’t need to pay if I was checking back in later. This was also confirmed when I asked to a different staff member later. When I told the guy at the reception he said it was because the rules had recently changed, didn’t offer a refund. Personally I think there was no reason to get defensive, I don’t care why she made the mistake, if I had gotten a refund I would have been happy as new. - One night I had no duvet. When I asked at the night reception the guy gave me a duvet from a pile which didn’t look “new”. I asked if it was clean and he confirmed it was. I saw hair in it and it smelled bad, I didn’t use it. Next day I asked the girl if the stuff in the pile he got my duvet from was clean. She said it was used duvet and towels. This one thing really ruined my overall opinion of the hostel, not gonna lie. For being one of the cheapest options in the city the rooms and cleanliness are good. It is a party hostel so if you have a shared room you probably will not have the best sleep (every single night people would make noise in the room). Older staff (housekeeping and girls at the base included) is quite helpful and nice, part of the staff though, sometimes the whole night team, is just kids that are mostly confused and really don’t care about you at all, hence my experience with the duvet, so good luck if you have an issue, especially during the night. Overall good if you spend 1 or 2 nights.
