W Barcelona

After reading prior reviews, there must be rooms that have been renovated and some that have not. Ours was not. We arrived off our cruise ship for a 3 day stay in Barcelona. We got in at 10am and expected a wait until our room was ready but to our surprise we got a key right away. Corner suite, second floor with attached twin room for kids. They were busy but polite and welcoming. At 5pm they still hadn’t brought our luggage. No biggie, I just went down and got it ourselves. Now for the room…it was large with good views but it really needed some work. The only way to turn any light on was the master switch, all on or all off. The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, half of the power blinds were off their tracks and the knob in the shower was worn out to the point we thought we only had luke warm showers. There is ZERO privacy anywhere in the room from the water closet (toilet). You can hear a pin drop if you catch my drift. So if you’re on a romantic getaway and don’t want your partner hearing every drop and plop you’ll be using the lobby bathroom. The carpet is likely original to the hotel- very thin and worn out. The TV’s, while you shouldn’t have a reason to use one at such a pretty location, said they were out of service. The staff was very kind, but this feels like a Holiday Inn and not a luxury hotel, especially for the money. Personally id check out the Arts Hotel if I had to come back. This place is a roll of the dice.

Great location if you’re into the resort lifestyle. The service here is 11/10 but my room didn’t have a bathroom door or any semblance of sound proofing, and was next to the lobby which plays music full time. The property was apologetic because they were unable to reaccomodate me anywhere else.

My stay at W Barcelona was truly unforgettable.The view from the room was breathtaking. One of my favorite parts was the gym. Working out while enjoying panoramic views of the Mediterranean made every session feel energizing and inspiring. The breakfast was another highlight, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day.What made this stay even more special was celebrating my birthday at the hotel. I look forward to coming back again 😍

I had the pleasure of staying at the W Barcelona for my birthday before embarking on a cruise, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and accommodating—from the valet upon arrival, to the concierge team at check-in, to the restaurant and bar staff throughout the property. What truly stood out was how they recognized my birthday and went out of their way to make me feel celebrated and special. The hotel itself is the perfect blend of luxury and modern sophistication. The property is impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and offers breathtaking views of the ocean and beach. W Barcelona delivers an elevated experience with outstanding service, stylish surroundings, and an atmosphere that makes every guest feel valued. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on my next visit to Barcelona.

We stay at W Hotels all around the world, and I have to say this is by far the best location we’ve visited. Sitting right on the ocean, the views from the room were absolutely incredible. The rooms themselves were just okay, but renovations were underway, so it was great to see the hotel being proactive about upgrades and improvements. I can’t wait to visit Barcelona again just to stay at this hotel. The Wet Bar has reopened and makes for an amazing beach club experience. A special shoutout to Noelia — she was immaculate, incredibly helpful, and accommodating throughout our entire stay. She went out of her way every single day to make sure we were well taken care of. The location is wonderful — within walking distance of the beach, great eateries, and shopping areas. Definitely a must-visit hotel when in Barcelona
